General Information About La Leona Waterfall Hike
The La Leona Waterfall is
renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty. During this tour, you will hike
through the turquoise-colored Rio Blanco Canyon, which originates at the Rincon
de la Vieja Volcano.
Upon arriving at our
adventure center, you will be driven to the starting point of an enchanting
45-minute hike through the forest, surrounded by the majestic volcanic river
canyon. Along the way, you will encounter incredible rock formations, swim
through natural pools and caves, and eventually reach the famous waterfall.
The deep turquoise rushing
waters of La Leona Waterfall are nestled within a cave, with hot springs
surging from the volcanic rocks, allowing you to experience Earth's mystical
energy.
The tour includes a guide,
local transportation on our all-terrain Mercedes Benz Unimog, and entrance
fees. For your convenience, please remember to bring comfortable clothing, a
bathing suit, a towel, and hiking sandals or water shoes. Our guides will provide
waterproof bags to protect your camera or cell phone.
